O R D E R

WHEREAS:

A.       On December 11, 2012, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act, FortisBC Inc. (FortisBC) filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) an Energy Supply Contract (the Agreement) dated November 15, 2012 for the purchase of capacity and energy between FortisBC and Columbia Power Corporation (CPC).  The Agreement was made pursuant to the Western Systems Power Pool Agreement;

 

B.       The Agreement is for the purchase of capacity and energy for the 5-year term of January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2017;

 

C.       FortisBC requests that the details in the filing and the Agreement be kept confidential due to its commercially-sensitive nature; and

 

D.       The Commission considered the Agreement and has determined that it is in the public interest.

 


NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission accepts the Agreement for filing.  The Commission will keep the Agreement and the information in FortisBC’s filing confidential.
