for Approval of the Western System Toll Changes

O  R  D  E  R

 

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On March 16, 2012, Plateau Pipe Line Ltd. (Plateau) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) for interim approval to increase tolls for crude oil deliveries for Taylor to Prince George and increase tolls for crude oil deliveries for Taylor to Kamloops on the Western System (the Application);

 

B.      The proposed tolls would increase for Taylor to Prince George from $10.12/m3 to $13.00/m3 and for Taylor to Kamloops from $20.00/m3 to $29.00/m3 effective March 1, 2012;

 

C.      Plateau is negotiating a new 5 year Long Term Service Toll Settlement (LTSTS) agreement with the Shippers on the Western System that has a proposed term of March 1, 2012 to December 31, 2016.  The Application also included a copy of the proposed LTSTS agreement;

 

D.      The Commission has reviewed the Application and considers that approval of interim tolls is warranted.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows:

 

1.       The requested Taylor to Prince George toll of $13.00/m3 and Taylor to Kamloops toll of $29.00/m3 is approved as interim effective March 1, 2012, in accordance with section 65(3.1)(a) of the Utilities Commission Act.


 

 

2.       Plateau is to provide a copy of this Order to all Shippers on the Western System.
