O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On November 6, 2012, British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) applied for approval of certain amendments to Electric Tariff Supplement No. 82 (the Application);

 

B.      B.C. Sustainable Energy Association and the Sierra Club of British Columbia (BCSEA), and Commercial Energy Consumers of British Columbia (CEC) registered as Interveners in the Application;

 

C.      On February 7, 2013, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) issued Order G-20-13 approving the Application as filed;

 

D.      On January 28, 2013, BCSEA filed an Application for a Participant Assistance Cost Award (PACA) followed by CEC on January 31, 2013.  By way of letter dated February 14, 2013, BC Hydro provided the Commission with its comments on the PACA Applications stating that funding should be awarded but left it up to the Commission to determine the level of funding;

 

E.       The Commission has reviewed the PACA Applications with regard to the criteria and rates set out in the PACA Guidelines in Commission Order G-72-07 and has concluded that cost awards should be approved as filed.

 


 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission orders as follows:

 

1.          The Commission awards funds to the following Interveners for their participation in the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority Application to Amend Electric Tariff No. 82 proceeding:

Commercial Energy Consumers of BC (CEC)

$3,272.50

Total

$5,366.90

 

2.      BC Hydro is directed to reimburse the above-noted participants for the awarded amounts in a timely manner.
