O R D E R

WHEREAS:

A.      By Letter L-45-12 dated August 2, 2012, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted the Fortis BC Energy Inc. (FEI) 2012/13 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP);

B.      By Order E-20-12 dated December 7, 2012, the Commission accepted FEI’s filing of gas supply contracts for the period November 1, 2012 to October 31, 2013;

C.      On April 18, 2013, FEI filed with the Commission for acceptance of the remaining commodity baseload transactions that have been conducted subsequently for the period April 1, 2013 to October 31, 2013, including applicable monthly and daily market factors;

D.      FEI requested that the filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature;

E.       The Commission reviewed the FEI filing and is satisfied that the gas supply contracts are appropriate considering market prices at the time they were negotiated, consistent with the 2012/13 ACP, and in the public interest.

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the natural gas contracts shown in Appendix A to this Order.  The Commission will keep the filing and associated documents confidential.
