O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On July 5, 2013, FortisBC Inc. (FortisBC) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) for approval of a proposed multi-year Performance Based Ratemaking plan for the years 2014 through 2018 (Application);

 

B.      On July 17, 2013, the Commission established the preliminary regulatory timetable for review of the Application by issuing Order G-109-13, which includes a Procedural Conference to be held in Kelowna on October 11, 2013;

 

C.      Upon direction from the Commission Panel, Staff have canvassed all registered interveners on their availability and preparedness to attend the Procedural Conference if held on September 5, 2013 instead of October 11, 2013;

 

D.      The Procedural Conference on September 5, 2013 will be held jointly with the Procedural Conference for the FortisBC Energy Inc. Performance Based Ratemaking Revenue Requirements 2014 – 2018 application.  At the Procedural Conference, parties to both proceedings will be asked to provide their views on combining any or all parts of the two proceedings, in addition to their views on the respective proceeding for which they are a party to;

 

E.       The Commission Panel issued a letter on August 23, 2013 indicating that the majority of registered interveners have responded with support for the potential to change the date of the Procedural Conference.  The letter also asked for any parties unable to attend to notify the Commission by Tuesday, August 27, 2013;

 

F.       By the deadline of August 27, 2013, no further submissions were received by the Commission;

 

 

NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows:

1.       The Procedural Conference originally scheduled for October 11, 2013 will be canceled.

 

2.       A Procedural Conference regarding the regulatory process for review of this Application, and other matters, is rescheduled for September 5, 2013, commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the Commission Hearing Room on the 12th Floor, 1125 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC.  An agenda for the Procedural Conference will be issued by the Commission Panel.

 

After the Procedural Conference, the Commission will issue a further procedural order for the review of the Application.
