O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

 

A.    On November 5, 2013, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) submitted to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) an application for nine housekeeping amendments to the Basic Insurance Tariff (Tariff), with a proposed effective date of January 1, 2014 (Application);

 

B.    ICBC is proposing the following housekeeping amendments to multiple sections of the Tariff, as further described in the Application:

         Name change of the APV 40 Temporary Change Endorsement

         Addition of definition of “IVR” (Insurance (Vehicle) Registration)

         Territory and Rate Class Selection for Commercial Delivery Vehicles in specific situations

         Amended definition of “Woodchip Delivery”

         Allowance for shuttling containers and trailers in specific situations

         Allowing Public Authorities with Municipal Government conditional factor into Rate Class 121

         Clarification of Temporary Substitute Motor Vehicle

         Clarifications to Driver Risk Premium and the Driver Penalty Point Premium

         Correction in terminology for the APV 49 Unlicenced Farm Tractor Certificate;

C.    ICBC submits that the proposed Tariff amendments are all minor in scope with minimal anticipated impacts on Basic Insurance rates or customers; and

 

D.    The Commission reviewed the Application and considers that its approval is warranted.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves the amendments to the Basic Insurance Tariff, effective January 1, 2014, as applied for and shown in Appendix A of this Order.
