WHEREAS:

A.      On January 22, 2013, British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) filed, pursuant to sections 58 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, an application (Application) with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) to amend the definition of Statutory Holiday to include Family Day in the following tariffs:

         Rate Schedule (RS) 1823 Transmission Service – Stepped Rate;

         RS 1825 Transmission Service – Time-of-Use (TOU) Rate;

         RS 1827 Transmission Service – Rate for Exempt Customers;

         RS 1852 Transmission Service Modified Demand; and

         Tariff Supplement (TS) No. 54 Modified Demand Agreement;

B.      Family Day is a new British Columbia Statutory Holiday which occurs on the second Monday in February, starting February 11, 2013;

C.      BC Hydro submits the Statutory Holiday definitions in the transmission service rate schedules and TS No. 54 currently exclude Family Day, since this holiday did not exist when these tariffs were originally approved or last amended.  BC Hydro is making this house-keeping application to include Family Day in the Statutory Holiday definition contained in these tariffs;

D.      The Commission has reviewed the Application and considers that the amendment to the definition of Statutory Holiday is warranted.

NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves the Application to amend the definition of Statutory Holiday to include Family Day in the transmission service rate schedules and Tariff Supplement No. 54, effective on the date of this Order.

DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this          7th          day of February 2013.
