Electric Vehicle Charging Service Providers

O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On November 24, 2015, Bakerview EcoDairy Ltd. (EcoDairy) filed an application for exemption from Part 3 of the Utilities Commission Act (Act) in relation to EcoDairy’s proposed resale of electricity via the new car Electric Vehicle (EV) Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) bay on its property (Application);

B.      EcoDairy has signed a DCFC Equipment Lease Agreement with British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority to participate in a pilot project involving the acquisition, installation, and operation of DCFC stations for EVs at locations around the province of British Columbia. This project is part of the Clean Energy Vehicle Program which is designed to offer British Columbians with more affordable clean transportation options; and

C.      The Commission finds that a review of the Application should include a written comment process with a regulatory timetable.

 

NOW THEREFORE the British Columbia Utilities Commission orders as follows:

 

1.       The Application will be reviewed in accordance with the regulatory timetable as set out in Appendix A to this order.

2.       Bakerview EcoDairy Ltd. must provide written notification of the Application with a copy of this order to British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority any other potentially affected parties, and request that the affected parties submit their comments, in writing, directly to the Commission Secretary by Friday, January 29, 2016.

3.       Bakerview EcoDairy Ltd. must provide the written notification to British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority and any other potentially affected parties by Thursday, January 14, 2016, and provide the Commission Secretary a copy of the notification sent to affected parties.
