for Seascapes Grid System

ORDER

WHEREAS:

A.      On February 17, 2016, Superior Propane filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) a rate application for the Seascapes grid system (Seascapes) seeking approval of its tariff and changes to its rate schedule (Application);

B.      On February 23, 2016, by way of Order G-21-16, the Commission established a preliminary regulatory timetable for the review of the Application, which was further amended by Order G-56-16 on April 29, 2016;

C.      On June 2, 2016, the Commission granted Superior Propane’s request for extension on its Information Request No. 2, and sought submissions on the remainder of the regulatory process;

D.      By letter dated June 24, 2016, Superior Propane recommended that a meeting be setup between Seascapes, the Commission and Superior Propane to negotiate a final rate structure. It also stated that if a settlement could not be reached then Superior Propane’s responses to Information Request No. 2 should be used as its final argument;

E.       By letter dated July 6, 2016, Seascapes proposed the evidentiary record to be closed and for the Commission to establish a timeline for final and reply submissions;

F.       The Commission has considered the submissions from Superior Propane and Seascapes and determines that it is necessary to establish the remainder of the regulatory timetable.

NOW THEREFORE the British Columbia Utilities Commission determines that the evidentiary record be closed for the review of this Application and proceed to final argument phase in accordance with the timetable set out in Appendix A to this Order.
