Section 71 Filing of a Commodity Exchange Agreement between

FortisBC Energy Inc. and Tenaska Marketing Canada, a Division of TMV Corp.

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On August 30, 2016, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) filed with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission), pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act, an executed copy of a commodity exchange agreement for the receipt and delivery of natural gas between Tenaska Marketing Canada, a Division of TMV Corp., and FEI (Agreement);

B.      On August 4, 2016, by Letter L-20-16, the Commission accepted the FEI 2016/2017 Annual Contracting Plan;

C.      FEI requests that the filing and associated documents remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

D.      The Commission reviewed the FEI filing and is satisfied that the Agreement is consistent with the 2016/17 Annual Contracting Plan and is in the public interest.

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts the Commodity Exchange Agreement between FortisBC Energy Inc. and Tenaska Marketing Canada, a Division of TMV Corp. The Commission will keep the filing and associated documents confidential as requested by FortisBC Energy Inc. as they contain commercially sensitive information.
