Filing of the Deferred Exchange Agreement – Huntingdon Gas Supply between

FortisBC Energy Inc. and Avista Corporation

ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On November 30, 2020, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act (UCA) and section 6.0 of the British Columbia Utilities Commission’s (BCUC) Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts that are set out in Appendix A to BCUC Order G-130-06, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FEI) filed with the BCUC an executed amendment to the Huntingdon gas supply deferred exchange agreement with Avista Corporation (Avista) for the period of April 16, 2021 to April 15, 2025 (the Agreement);

B.      On June 5, 2020, the BCUC accepted FEI’s 2020/21 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP) by Letter No. L-31-20;

C.      FEI requests that the Agreement and the associated filing remain confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature; and

D.      The BCUC has reviewed the filing and is satisfied that the Agreement between FEI and Avista is consistent with the ACP and is in the public interest.

 


 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the UCA and the BCUC’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts:

 

1.       The BCUC accepts the Agreement between FEI and Avista as filed. 

2.       The BCUC will keep the filing and Agreement confidential due to their commercially sensitive nature.
