ORDER

WHEREAS:

 

A.      On October 31, 2025, Nelson Hydro filed an application with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) pursuant to sections 59 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act seeking approval of a general annual rate increase of 15.98 percent, effective January 1, 2026 and 3.77 percent, effective January 1, 2027, for the Rural service area;

B.      By Orders G-272-25 and G-14-26, the BCUC established and amended the regulatory timetable for the proceeding;

C.      On March 4, 2026, the BCUC received a letter of comment in the proceeding which was inadvertently not posted to the BCUC’s public proceeding webpage due to an administrative error. This letter of comment is now posted as Exhibit D-14-1;

D.      On March 27, 2026, Nelson Hydro filed its final argument and responses to letters of comment in the proceeding; and

E.       The BCUC considers that further process to provide Nelson Hydro an opportunity to submit a response to the additional letter of comment posted as Exhibit D-14-1 and further final argument, if any, is warranted.

 

NOW THEREFORE the BCUC establishes a further regulatory timetable, as set out in Appendix A to this order.
