O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

 

A.      By Letter L-43-13 dated July 11, 2013, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) accepted the Fortis BC Energy Inc. (FEI) 2013/14 Annual Contracting Plan (ACP);

 

B.      On November 1, 2013, pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and section 6.0 of the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, FEI filed with the Commission for acceptance of the following:

 

i.         the Commodity term supply allocation between monthly and daily priced contracts as well as the monthly and daily market premiums for Commodity baseload and seasonal transactions not yet accepted by the Commission (Commodity Portfolio Filing);

ii.       the Midstream supply allocation between monthly and daily priced contracts as well as the monthly and daily market premiums for Midstream seasonal transactions, and newly executed and approved storage and redelivery contracts were also referenced for informational purposes (Midstream Portfolio Filing);

 

C.      FEI requested that the details of the Commodity Portfolio Filing and the Midstream Portfolio Filing (the FEI Filings) be kept confidential for reasons of commercial sensitivity; and

 

D.      The Commission reviewed the FEI Filings and is satisfied that the Commodity and Midstream supply allocation and the Commodity and Midstream gas supply contract prices, are appropriate considering the market conditions at the time they were negotiated, consistent with the ACP, and in the public interest.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Commission’s Rules for Natural Gas Energy Supply Contracts, the Commission accepts for filing the natural gas contracts shown in Appendix A to this Order.  The Commission will keep the details of the FortisBC Energy Inc. Commodity and Midstream portfolio filings confidential as requested to protect commercially sensitive information.
